BEHIND THE MUSIC

Alice SK is an indie folk artist from Wiltshire, now living in London. Alice combines a love of music, nature and being present and connect to those around her to create captivating stories through lyrics and melody. Inspired by artists such as Joni Mitchel, Lily Allen, The Strokes and gaining vocal inspiration from the likes of Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, Alice blends indie folk and rock to create a unique soulful sound in which she expresses herself and emotions we can all relate to.

 

Throughout the years Alice has built an extensive and committed fan base, releasing a 7 track EP followed by 4 more singles which have gained support from multiple voices in the industry including Steve Lamacq, John Kennedy and and David & Carrie Grant at BBC London, being featured on these shows and having a live session coming up at Radio X and BBC London to promote her latest release 'Hurricane' and her upcoming release 'Hollywood Sunset'. Alice and her band are currently recording 4 more singles to be released throughout the year and finishing off with a 2nd EP, being released 27th November with a launch party at Signature Brew Haggerston.

 

Alice toured in various venues around Europe last year, including Milan, Munich, Budapest and Vienna, has expanded her fanbase from the streets of London and is currently planning a UK tour in November to promote her upcoming EP. Having just sold out her headline show at Jaguar Shoes in London June 2025, this year Alice and her electric band have taken the stage at 'Here Comes the Sun' Day festival in London, played at the Alternative Escape as part of the Great esc. in Brighton, played her first Sofar Sounds show in London and will be heading to Truck Festival at the end of July to play at 7pm on Thursday 24th on the This Feeling stage.

 

Alice will then be heading to Norfolk the weekend after for folk festival 'Harlequin Fayre', Headlining 'River Radio Plugged in' at Battersea Power station in August and will be part of the new and upcoming project 'How to Build a festival', giving rising artist a platform to be heard, on September 20th. As a performer who loves to connect with her audience and build a community around that, Alice makes sure to be playing live regularly to new audiences and to keep the passion flowing through her and her committed musicians. Alice's success is far from limited to her punchy and energetic performances however, with her single 'Until We Meet Again' amassing a million streams on Amazon music and her next release already being played on Radio X to promote her headline show, Alice SK is 'One to Watch' (This Feeling) as her and her band come in leaps and bounds.
